DKS 1815-218 Prox Card Readers are designed to control access to secure areas indoors. They use radio frequency (RF) to communicate with cards that contain user credentials, such as card number or facility code. They ARE NOT designed to operate alone, and must be connected to an access controller. Read ranges are not absolute and will vary depending on several factors including where the reader is mounted, the mounting surface and product application. Active tags (DKS 150, DKS 200) will provide an increased read range. Up to a 12-inch read range. Warranty: 5 year limited factory
