DKS 1815-216 IDTeck RF 10. Read ranges are not absolute and will vary depending on several factors including where the reader is mounted, the mounting surface and product application. Active tags (DKS 150, DKS 200) will provide an increased read range. Up to a 4-inch read range. Allows users to access a building without direct contact. Can be used for pedestrian and vehicular access control. The reader outputs card data to an access controller, which then decides whether to grant or deny access. They use an embedded antenna with RFID technology or a Near-Field Communication (NFC) tag to communicate with the reader. When a card is placed within range of the reader, the antenna coil and capacitor absorb and store energy from the field. This energy is then rectified to direct current, which powers the integrated circuit. Warranty: 5 year limited factory, not designed for stand-alone operation and must be connected to an access controller
